Dr Bridie Cullinane

Dr Bridie was raised locally in Lennox Head and attended Trinity Catholic College, Lismore. Following graduating high school, Dr Bridie had intended to study Medicine, but after receiving "life-changing" Chiropractic care, due to an injury in year 12, she realised Chiropractic was where she wanted to focus and went on to study at RMIT University Melbourne.

Following graduation in 2002, Dr Bridie worked in an orphanage in Rajahmundry, India, helping to establish a rehabilitation program for children who had been affected by polio and undergone surgery.

Upon returning to Melbourne, Dr Bridie established two multidisciplinary clinics, employing a range of health professionals. During this time she worked with a wide variety of people including some of Australia’s top Olympic swimmers, business people and television personalities. 2003 saw Dr Bridie co-author a book called 'The World's Best Kept Health Secrets Revealed, Volume Two’, which went on to sell over 35,000 copies. In 2005 Dr Bridie was awarded the Telstra Young Business Woman of the Year for Victoria, due to her outstanding achievements in business and for her work within the chiropractic profession. A popular guest and authority of Chiropractic care, Dr Bridie was regularly interviewed and featured on TV, radio and newspaper, and still is today.

In 2007 Dr Bridie moved overseas and spent the next 3 years working in the UK and Ireland. With a keen interest in the Cuban health care system, Dr Bridie spent time in Cuba where she studied Spanish at the University of Havana, whilst learning about the Cuban way of life and their approach to health.

Landing back in Australia, Dr Bridie decided to return home to the Northern Rivers. Dr Bridie has since married a former Commando, personal trainer Steve Shaw (Elite Force Fitness). Together, with their two young children, they are extremely happy to be raising them in the Northern Rivers, with the bonus of having their families close by. She is enjoying caring for people of all ages, and in all stages of life in the local community.
